• Combining Dong-A ST’s ADC development expertise with Galux’s AI antibody design technology to discover differentiated ADC candidates

  • Collaboration aims to validate ADC potential against an untapped novel target and advance best-in-class therapeutic candidates

Galux today announced that it has entered into a research collaboration agreement with Dong-A ST to develop novel antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) candidates.

The collaboration will combine Dong-A ST’s ADC development capabilities with Galux’s AI-powered antibody design technology to discover differentiated ADC candidates against a novel target for which there are currently no approved therapies.

By precisely incorporating the structural and functional characteristics of the target protein, Galux aims to generate novel antibody candidates with target recognition properties suitable for therapeutic development.

Dong-A ST will evaluate the ADC applicability of antibody candidates designed by Galux, leveraging its accumulated ADC platform technologies and linker-payload development know-how. The companies will then explore follow-on development of selected candidates.

Through this collaboration, Dong-A ST and Galux aim to validate the ADC development potential of an untapped novel target and advance discovered candidates toward best-in-class therapeutics.

“This collaboration demonstrates that Galux’s de novo antibody design technology can be applied not only to conventional protein therapeutics but also to complex modalities such as ADCs,” said Taeyong Park, CEO of Galux. “By using GaluxDesign to generate antibody candidates that are difficult to obtain through traditional experimental antibody discovery approaches, we aim to contribute to the development of differentiated therapeutics that can open new possibilities for patients.”

“By applying AI-powered antibody design technology to ADC research and development, we expect to evaluate the development potential of a novel target in a more systematic way,” said Yoonseok Oh, Executive Vice President of Dong-A ST. “Based on Dong-A ST’s accumulated ADC development capabilities, we aim to secure competitive candidates and advance them toward best-in-class therapeutics.”
