Companies to explore a BBB-crossing protein delivery platform by combining ADC expertise with AI protein design
Galxu announced a strategic partnership agreement with AimedBio, a developer of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
Under the agreement, AimedBio will make a strategic investment in Galux, and the companies will work together to develop a protein delivery platform designed to cross the blood-brain barrier, or BBB.
“This partnership is to expand the technological synergies between the two companies and strengthen a long-term collaboration,” said Chaok Seok, CEO of Galux. “By combining Galux’s AI protein design technology with AimedBio’s expertise in antibody-based therapeutics, we believe we can create new opportunities for advanced biologics.”

The partnership combines two fast-moving areas in biologics: ADC-based therapeutics and AI-driven protein design. AimedBio has built strong capabilities in antibody-based therapeutics and is expanding into next-generation ADC platforms and CNS therapeutics. Galux, through its proprietary AI platform GaluxDesign, has demonstrated the ability to design high-precision antibodies and novel binding proteins across a range of targets, including recent top-tier results in comparative AI antibody design studies.
The initial focus will be on addressing BBB delivery, a major challenge for antibody and protein therapeutics targeting neurological diseases, as it limits their ability to reach brain tissue at sufficient levels. The companies plan to design protein candidates that bind to specific receptors and evaluate their potential as a BBB-crossing protein delivery platform.
“This collaboration brings together two Korean biotech companies that have demonstrated global competitiveness in their respective fields,” added Seok. “We aim to go beyond a single research program and explore new possibilities for next-generation therapeutics.”
